One of my favorite things about being a photographer is getting to celebrate with friends throughout all of the exciting stages of life. I have known Dave since high school. He and Justine have been together for what seems like forever! I am so excited that they are finally getting married this summer! We shot their engagement session at Pinewood Country Club and it was the perfect spot to capture these beautiful memories. Only a few months until they’re husband and wife!

Kurt and Elizabeth’s wedding day was filled with joy, love, jumps, and intentionality. Kurt and Elizabeth are two people who truly value moments and their relationships with others. That was reflected through all of the beautiful moments of their wedding day, starting with Elizabeth being surrounded by so many wonderful friends from all the stages of her life as they walked her down for her first look. It was reflected in the way Elizabeth skipped towards her soon to be husband right before they saw each other for the first time. In the vows they exchanged at their ceremony, and in the kind words of their families at the reception. I am so happy I was able to be a part of this wedding day and wish these two all the best in the future. Congratulations Elizabeth and Kurt!!

I love that we got to take Reilyn’s maternity pictures right before mother’s day. Being a mom is like nothing in else in this world. It’s the best and hardest job there is and it’s impossible to describe to someone the love you can have for your children until they feel it for themselves. I am so so excited for this family to welcome their third baby into the world and FIRST girl (super jealous) ;) next month. These little boys are going to make some awesome big brothers. Congratulations Sean and Reilyn!

I first met Leah when she was assigned to be my suite mate one summer while we were taking some classes on campus at Concordia University. Right away she was so sweet to me and we got along great right away. She is just one of those people who is easy to be around. I remember during the three weeks we were there one night she was talking to us about her, then boyfriend, now fiance, soon to be husband, Tyler and how she was thinking of telling him that she loved him… fast forward to now and that’s so funny to think about because they are just 49 days away from their wedding day! Some people are just meant to be together and these two definitely are!

There is nothing sweeter than a fresh 48 session, especially when there is an older sibling involved. Charlie wasn’t so sure about her new baby sister right away, but you can see in these pictures how she warmed up to her and that sweet smile whenever baby Violet would whimper or squirm. Those first few days with your new baby are so special and I am always happy that awesome people like Tori and Jake let me be a part of it. Congrats you guys, she is perfect!

I know I say it over and over again, but seriously I get to work with some of the best people out there. These two were such a blast to work with, so adorable together and so sweet to me. We decided against taking pictures in the 10 foot snow mounds we currently have all over this lovely town and decided to take pictures at The Waters of Minocqua in their coffee shop and in front of some of their cozy fireplaces. I am so happy for these two, you can tell when you are around them that they are so perfect for each other. I cannot wait for their wedding in June, we joked that we hope all the snow is melted by then….. but seriously let’s hope!

Mexico // Coasta Mujeres

I am so happy Tyler and I got to go on this trip. It was the perfect way to relax, recharge, and escape the snow for a few days. I didn’t take as many pictures as I wanted to, but I still managed to squeeze in a few, which Tyler was really thrilled about…. just kidding he was a good sport, but I know every girl can relate to having to coerce their husband into taking a picture ;) Anyways, Mexico was beautiful as always and if anyone wants to hire me to tag along and photograph your own trip you know I’ll be there! Welp, gotta go shovel, hope you enjoy looking at some warmer weather for a change!

Jake & Lauren's Winter Wedding

Jake and Lauren are two of the kindest and smartest (they’re both engineers) people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Throughout their wedding day their family and friends shared stories and sweet memories that showed just how great these two people are. When I first met Jake and Lauren and they told me about their love of snowmobiling and how they were going to incorporate snowmobile parts into their decor I honestly couldn’t picture it, but it turned out AH-MAZING. Lauren has such an incredible eye for detail. The most hilarious part of their wedding day was when the groom’s father brought up in his speech that he still pays for the grooms cell phone bill, the whole reception burst out into laughter, but I say milk that as long as you can Jake ;)

Jake and Lauren got married in beautiful and cold (the temperature never got above zero) northern Wisconsin. Their ceremony and reception were both held at the Chippewa Retreat Resort in Manitowish Waters, WI. Jessica's Cucina catered dinner, which was delicious, especially the mini cheesecakes, which everyone knows is my favorite dessert. And lastly, their DJ was Doc Gary who is the absolute sweetest guy. I feel so lucky to have been able to be a part of Jake and Lauren’s wedding day. I wish you guys all the best in your future together!

Jaxstyn's Fresh 48

I am so happy I had the opportunity to do this fresh 48 session. I have ALWAYS wanted to do one and I am totally hooked. Besides weddings I think this might be my new favorite type of session. There’s just something so special about those first few days in the hospital with your brand new baby.

In-home Lifestyle Newborn Session!

Is there anything sweeter than a newborn baby?! I swear just being around a new baby gives you a renewed appreciation for life. Little baby Leo was no exception. He was so stinkin’ cute and such a joy to photograph. We even managed to get a few smiles out of him, which was so lucky because his momma said he JUST started smiling. I think it’s safe to say his parents think he’s pretty awesome too and you can tell by the way they looked at his sweet face while I was there. I LOVE when clients come to me with such fun ideas! This little guys mama is so creative and I am absolutely obsessed with how adorable this pie smash turned out.
